About me
I am a tenure-track assistant professor at the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) at UA since August 2023. I earned her PhD in information science from the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
My research focuses on the intersection of Human-Computer/AI Interaction, User Experience Design and Evaluation, and Interactive Information Retrieval. Specifically, I explore the impacts of contextual factors on users’ cognitive processes and their task activities when they interact with information systems such as search engines and Geneative AI, to design and develop novel information assistant tools to enhance users’ learning performance and task completion in their everyday work and life.
